What is Joomanager?

By the simplest definition, Joomanager is a Joomla component that gives your site the ability to list multiple items in multiple categories in a directory layout. Items you could list could be for a portfolio, items for sale, etc.

Joomanager allows for the creation of custom fields so you can have an unlimited number of attributes associated with a particular item. These attributes are defined in the administration area of the component and can be geared towards any type of site to make it your own; for example a site that sells/lists: cars, boats, motorcylces, houses and whatever else you can think of.

Joomanager v1.3.1 - Updates and Bug Fixes

We've made several updates to bug fixes for the component via the forum some of these and others are included in this new version:

  • Drop down multi select now works for items
  • If custom field is left blank it won't show on frontend now for the item detail and item list pages
  • Add items and alerts bug fixed: When logged in and category button was set to hide it would also hide these two buttons
  • When saving items they were thrown to the bottom of the list order, this is now fixed.

Joomanager v1.3 stable and SEF plugins released

After quite a few months of development we are very happy to announce the stable release of Joomanager v1.3.0! This new versions brings a whole lot of new features to the component. The biggest addition was the RETS/MLS import feature now available. We are also happy to now support JoomSEF and sh404SEF with our two plugins available in the downloads area.

This version of Joomanager includes many new features here is a list of them:

  • RETS / MLS housing database integration
  • Assign custom fields to specified categories
  • Custom user alerts on items
  • New category navigation by letter for directory websites
  • Change the order of categories and items
  • Set frontend item sorting
  • Allow users to rate items and leave comments
  • Improved SEO:
    • Item titles, category titles now display in title tags
    • H3 tags for item titles on item details
  • SEF URLs via Joomanager plugins for JoomSEF and sh404SEF
  • Google Maps on item details
  • Security update for SQL exploit
  • Social add button for item details (this replaces tell a friend for item details)
